What is Positive Approach to Care

Positive Approach to Care® (PAC) is one of the world’s most compassionate care techniques and strategies in dementia care. Founder, Teepa Snow is widely known as the expert in helping others understand brain change and teaches us how to shift our own thinking and beliefs to help others live well. Part of the core teachings also center on relationships, authenticity, empowerment, compassion, and curiosity allowing us to focus on our connection and relationships with others and how to do that, as abilities change.
Positive Approach to Care started in 2006 after years of education other health care professionals and Teepa Snow, quickly became the go to for others to learn about the symptoms of dementia and how to address the needs of others while focusing on the person and the emotional needs.
Teepa’s hands on approach, her deep understanding and compassion for others and ability to relate and show others how connect and care for those living with dementia is unmatched. She and her team continue to educate others around the worlds, through their vast array of in person speaking engagements, trainings, education and certifications, and can be found on virtually all social media platforms.
Using Positive Approach To Care skills, not only helps in day to day interactions but has a profound impact on positive outcomes not only people living with dementia but for those who care for them.
